Free Pediatric Drug Dose Calculator for Indian Clinicians
PediaRx is a fast, free, and offline-capable paediatric drug dose calculator designed for Indian doctors — GDMOs, paediatricians, medical officers, and emergency physicians — working in high-volume government OPDs and casualty departments.
Calculating weight-based pediatric doses under time pressure in a busy OPD or emergency is error-prone. PediaRx eliminates mental arithmetic so you can focus on your patient.
- Shows syrup volume in mL as the primary result — the number you actually write on the prescription
- Handles multiple syrup strengths (e.g. PCM 120, 125, and 250 mg/5mL)
- Automatically switches to tablet dosing after the appropriate age threshold
- Shows tablet dose in fractions (½ tab, 1½ tab, etc.)
- IV route: dose, volume to draw, diluent, and infusion time
- Estimates weight from IAP 50th centile chart when actual weight is unavailable
- Fuzzy search — works with typos and common abbreviations
- Works fully offline after first load (PWA)
Plus a custom drug calculator for any drug not in the list.
PediaRx uses IAP (Indian Academy of Pediatrics) 50th centile growth chart reference weights for estimating doses when a scale is unavailable — common in rural and semi-urban settings.
All dosing is based on BNFc, IAP Drug Formulary, and WHO guidelines. Drugs banned in India (e.g. Ranitidine) are excluded.
