Free Pediatric & Adult Drug Dose Calculator

PediaRx v5 is a fast, free, offline-capable dose calculator for clinicians — GDMOs, medical officers, paediatricians, and family physicians — in busy OPDs, PHCs, and emergency settings worldwide.

🎯
Why PediaRx v5?

Calculating weight-based pediatric doses under time pressure in a busy OPD or emergency is error-prone. PediaRx eliminates mental arithmetic so you can focus on your patient.

🇮🇳
Built for India

PediaRx uses IAP (Indian Academy of Pediatrics) 50th centile growth chart reference weights for estimating doses when a scale is unavailable — common in rural and semi-urban settings.

All dosing is based on BNFc, IAP Drug Formulary, and WHO guidelines. Drugs banned in India (e.g. Ranitidine) are excluded.

👨‍⚕️
Authorship & clinical responsibility

PediaRx was built by Dr. Shounak Pal, MBBS — a practising physician — for his own clinical use. He is the founder, sole developer, and clinical author of the formulary, not an external “reviewer” of a third-party tool. The calculator has also been peer-tested with clinical colleagues.

Primary references: BNFc, IAP Drug Formulary, WHO guidance, and NNF schedules where applicable. Formulary region: India (IN). Always verify doses against your local protocol and product insert.

Related tools: FluidCalc — pediatric IV fluids (Holliday-Segar / 4-2-1, bolus, deficit).

FAQ
How accurate is PediaRx?
PediaRx is a clinical reference. All doses are sourced from BNFc and IAP formulary and must be verified by the treating clinician before prescribing.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After first load, PediaRx caches all data — it works fully offline in wards, rural health centres, and emergencies with poor connectivity.
Is it free?
PediaRx is and will always be free. No ads, no subscriptions, no accounts required.
What data does PediaRx collect?
PediaRx uses Google Analytics for anonymous visitor statistics only — page views, device type, and geography. No patient data, no clinical inputs, and no personally identifiable information is ever collected or transmitted. All calculations run entirely on your device.
