Medical Disclaimer
PediaRx (pediarx.com) is intended solely as a clinical reference and decision-support aid for qualified, licensed medical professionals. Nothing on this website constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment for any individual patient.
All dose calculations must be independently verified against current editions of the British National Formulary for Children (BNFc), IAP Drug Formulary, WHO guidelines, and locally approved formularies before any drug is prescribed or administered.
Pediatric dosing is affected by renal function, hepatic function, gestational age, comorbidities, drug interactions, allergy status, and local antimicrobial resistance. PediaRx does not account for all such factors. Clinical judgment must always take precedence.
When actual weight is not entered, PediaRx uses estimated weights from IAP 50th centile growth charts as a rough guide only. Estimated weights may differ significantly from actual patient weight. Actual measured weight must always be used where possible, especially for drugs with narrow therapeutic indices.
PediaRx excludes drugs banned or withdrawn in India (e.g. Ranitidine — withdrawn due to NDMA contamination). However, drug approval status changes. Always verify the current regulatory status of any drug before prescribing.
PediaRx uses Google Analytics for anonymous visitor statistics only — page views, device types, and geographic regions. Google Analytics is configured with IP anonymisation. No patient data, no clinical inputs, and no personally identifiable information is ever transmitted to Google Analytics or any other third party. Patient weight, age, and dose calculations remain entirely on your device.
PediaRx is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While every effort has been made to ensure accuracy, we make no guarantee that information is complete, current, or error-free. Drug doses and guidelines change; it is the prescriber's responsibility to verify current recommendations.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PediaRx and its creators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use or misuse of this tool, including any adverse patient outcomes.
